The Gerling Power
System; Nothing Else Comes Close!
Broadcast Television at thislevel demands a power system built for Broadcasting. The Gerling Power System is the only one in the industry that
employs industrial-grade transformers, one 15kVA for Technical power and one
20kVA for the environmental side, each with tap select switches at six
different voltages.Our Gerling Power
Panel speaks for itself; more capacity and flexibility puts Gerling customers
ahead of any potential site problems.
“A” Unit Air
Conditioning!
Proper, commercial gradeHVAC is not just within the realm of expanding side trailers.Only Gerling has wall mount air conditioners
that are custom built for the industry, and they are standard on the Stallion
Class.Two wall-mounted G-Force
air-conditioners, three tons (36,000BTU) each, provide 72,000BTU of ducted
cooling and heating directly through the equipment racks and into personnel
areas.Included are true hot gas
bypass all the way down to 0% operation, along with accumulators that enable
seamless operation even with altitude change.
And yet, there are
companies that use the stunningly inappropriate rooftop air conditioners for
this application!
The “STINGER”
Generator!
While Gerling has broughtcountless innovations to the Broadcast Vehicle industry, the “STINGER”
generator has had perhaps the biggest impact on both mid-sized Production units
and SNG vehicles over the last 15 years.
The “STINGER” places a 20kWgenerator BELOW the main floor decking of the vehicle (with up to a 32kW
available) and between the frame rails of the truck aft of the rear-most
axle.Opposed to the outdated technique
of just throwing the generator on the floor of the rear of the truck (!), the
Gerling “STINGER” provides for up to 20% more interior operations space, more
access to the generator itself, wide-open access to the rearmost racks in the
vehicle.
