The Lightest, Most Rugged Body For SNG Applications

 sureshot

Having delivered more than 600 Television Production vehicles over the last 20 years, we’ve honed our craft to the point where we offer the lightest weight, yet most durable body in the business.  There is no other SNG that comes close; and our four (4) year Warranty applies here as well.  Our experience in the “big” truck business means that we are uniquely experienced in terms of weight and balance issues, and that means unmatched longevity and flexibility for our customers.

The Gerling Power System; Nothing Else Comes Close!

sky stallion power

Broadcast Television at this level demands a power system built for Broadcasting.  The Gerling Power System is the only one in the industry that employs industrial-grade transformers, one 15kVA for Technical power and one 20kVA for the environmental side, each with tap select switches at six different voltages.  Our Gerling Power Panel speaks for itself; more capacity and flexibility puts Gerling customers ahead of any potential site problems.

The Only Real Air Conditioning System Available for SNG!

Proper, commercial grade HVAC is not just within the realm of expanding side trailers.  Only Gerling has wall mount air conditioners that are custom built for the industry, and they are standard on the Stallion Class.  Two wall-mounted G-Force air-conditioners, with a minimum of three tons (36,000BTU) each, provide efficient, ducted cooling and heating directly through the equipment racks and into personnel areas.  Included are true hot gas bypass all the way down to 0% operation, along with accumulators that enable seamless operation even with altitude change.

And yet, there are still companies that use the stunningly inappropriate rooftop air conditioners for this application!

The “STINGER” Generator!

 stinger enclosed

While Gerling has brought countless innovations to the Broadcast Vehicle industry, the “STINGER” generator has had perhaps the biggest impact on both mid-sized and large SNG vehicles over the last 15 years.

The “STINGER” places a 20kW generator BELOW the main floor decking of the vehicle (with up to a 32kW available) and between the frame rails of the truck aft of the rear-most axle.  Opposed to the outdated technique of just throwing the generator on the floor of the rear of the truck (!), the Gerling “STINGER” provides for up to 20% more interior operations space, more access to the generator itself, wide-open access to the rearmost racks in the vehicle.

The “STINGER” itself is mounted on a rail carriage system that enables the 20kW generator being able to slide out from beneath the truck body, for full maintenance access.
