Tough
going in the US economy has brought ownership change to much
of the live truck manufacturing industry. That means prices
are up, even if lead times are not any shorter!
Because Gerling has never been bought or sold, our ENG
Van quality is available at an even more competitive price than
before; and with Gerling's manufacturing power, nobody
ever waits 6 months for a Gerling unit, no matter how many dozens
of projects are on our schedule.
Gerling's Nomad Class ENG Vehicles are a safe, efficient,
cost-effective answer for news organizations that have deadlines

Rack Construction
Typical rack allotment in a cargo van body is restricted
to two (2) 29RU racks and one (1) 12RU rack at the main
ENG Operations Console, with the option of an additional
29RU rack to be installed behind the Driver's
Position. All EIA Standard equipment racks in vehicle
are custom manufactured by Gerling. This provides infinite
flexibility in terms of rack dimensions and placement.
Interior Lighting
All lighting for operations consists of dimmable, recessed,
aimable WAC lighting
Environmental Control
Insulation factors as follows: R14 walls, R14 ceiling,
R14 floors, R9 doors, and R2 door seals
Generators
Gerling uses Honda, Onan, and Generac generators. Easily
accessible for service, all generators installed in
Gerling's Nomad Class Vehicles reside in Gerling's
Quiet Pak enclosure, ensuring a <58dB interior. Gerling's
Manual Transfer Switch enables Environmental and Technical
loads to be supplied from separate sources (shore/gen,
gen/shore, gen/gen, shore/shore). Inverter Systems/gel-cell
systems supplying 4kw for 3-4 hours are also available.
Gerling Power System
As in the larger Nomad Production Models, our ENG vans
utilize a 30A system, providing two Separate legs of
AC; an Environmental leg for air conditioning and lighting
loads, and a fully regulated and clean leg for all Technical
loads.
